Diamondville, Wyoming is a quaint little community with a big heart located in Southwest Wyoming. Having Hams Fork River run through the small town, Diamondville enjoys several parks that offer beautiful greenery and fun entertainment for all. The mining industry had a significant influence on Diamondville, so much so that the community’s name derives from the superior-quality coal from the local mines that resembled black diamonds in the late 1800’s.
There are many resources and activities available to the community members of Diamondville. A library, a museum, and several churches including an LDS church, a Catholic church, and three Non-Denominational churches, all of which are open to the public. A hospital is located in Kemmerer, WY, not far from Diamondville, with 18 beds and a nursing home with 24 beds. Ambulance services are available.
For recreational purposes, a baseball field, two tennis courts, three parks, a fishing pond and a skate park are all available for enjoyment throughout the town. Diamondville, Wyoming also offers two weekly newspapers, including Kemmerer Gazette and Little Chicago Review.
